| I know there is a college football thread, but let's do a poll on what the biggest upset was this weekend. |

K-State beat Texas last year and Texas has looked pretty terrible this year. #3 Oklahoma looked unstoppable this whole year and gets beat by Colorado which has been terrible for a few years now. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

K-State proved last year that, if you punch Texas in the mouth, they're too soft to punch back. Texas got their asses handed to them (physically, not on the scoreboard) twice last year by far less talented teams--KSU and A&M--so the formula is there. No real shocker the Wildcats pulled the "upset" especially after injuring McCoy...again.
West Virginia isn't an elite team. They have an awful defense and no passing game. Only their weak conference has given them an illusion of a top ten team. No suprise there either...most experts I saw picked South Florida. South Florida has their number these last two years.
Florida needs some form of running game other than a shotgun QB keeper to keep good defenses, like Auburn, guessing.
That leaves OU/Colorado. I'm still stunned OU lost; they looked amazing from week 1 until halftime yesterday. Oklahoma does have a history of blowing out lesser opponents and then choking against teams with a little discipline and talent, but still... _________________ "I'm scared if I stop drinking all at once, the cumulative hangover will literally kill me." |

Texas had a loss coming, it was just a matter of when. Hell, they've got a couple more coming. That was no great upset.

Truth.
USF beat WVU last year so no huge deal there, although it was pretty impressive how USF just stopped that high powered offense of WVU, which IS elite (that offense, not the team as a whole).
GT over Clemson? Clemson is a total joke, year in, year out. Bowden STEALS money from them.
Auburn over FL or CU over OU. Edge to Auburn due to UF being the reigning champ. |

Concur with Auburn.
I know the Mets collapse isn't really an upset, but seeing them get jimmyjacked pretty much fit the theme of the weekend. Continuing the theme to the NFL: Browns, Chiefs, Bears, and Cardinals with some unexpected wins. Women's soccer? Hope Solo dissed and dissed. |

| Women's soccer was one that was coming as well. They haven't been anywhere near as dominant as they have in years past. But Solo did get dissed bitgime, and then dismissed after being so public w/ her feelings - she wasn't even at the 3rd place game. Ouch. |

I picked CO, by a mile, because CO has been that bad in recent history, and OU has been that good this year.
Anyhow, Auburn is still a really good defensive team, and it didn't surprise me as much that an in-conference matchup like that resulting in relatively low scoring and a grind it out style game that Auburn eventually won out.
jt09, Solo got the shaft. I am sure some of y'all would like to give her the shaft, though. _________________

It was at home.
The ass gasket you are referring to, is for the toilet seat right? _________________ www.integrity-wake.com |

muckmeister, at home? Just use your hand. The sink is right there.
And no, the ass gasket is to be worn around your neck as a splash-blocker. Wouldn't want to get any toilet water on your face. _________________

Absolutely! I couldn't agree more. With both. She is hot, and she did get the shaft, and yes, I would truly enjoy that. |

That is the way it has been for the last 3 decades, minus the years when Vince put the whole team on his back. _________________ Is President Obama a Keynesian? |
