|
|
I'm looking at a 2000 Tige 21V Limited with 350 hours. It sells for $29,900. It's in pretty good condition and has been taken care of. The Mastercraft MariStar is 1998 but in immaculate condition. It sells for $28K and comes with a tower. It only has 170 hours on it. Looks brand new!! The dealer said he would put in 5 ballast bladders adding up to 1800 lbs. He said the final price would be $29K. I test rode the Tige and the boat was great without any weight. On the Tige there is more room for possibly 1500 lb.s of fat sacs in compartments. The wake on the Tige would be monstrous once all the weight is added. My only concern is that the MariStar once filled with ballast will create a nice wake but what happens if I want to add more weight for a bigger wake? The room for fat sacs is very limited and you have pretty much maxed out your weight capacity for space in the boat. What are your opinions and thoughts? Please let me know... thanks

Bottom line, for around the same price, the 21V is the way to go. It is the wakeboard boat out of the two. Ask your dealer about putting some internal ballast in it. I WOULD suggest getting the newer Tige tower on it. Those old ones are weak! _________________ Ride harder...

anti-shoobies, not necicarly the maristar could be the maristar series with the same hull as the X-2 (or old X-star)
also FYI a "wakeboard boat" is a normal boat whith a tower and different graphics. _________________ wakeboards

| I would go with the tige. Never been behind the maristar but it will probably require more weight to sink it. |

DRAGON88, different hull, internal ballast, wakeboard pro, and all the other goods.
I didn't know the maristar hull was the same though, my bad.
Sk8bum99, I'd still go with the Tige. _________________ Ride harder...

The maristar's have a few different model's and they are the same hull's as the x 9 and the x10. The mastercraft 205 is the same hull as the old x star or x 2. I have ridden behind the maristar 200v and that is the same hull as the x10. The wake was very rampy and had no pop at all. As far as the wake goe's, I would choose the tige. The interior and tower are much beter on the maristar. _________________ If you wanna make it,

| I would also go with the tige. I've heard good things about the 21V, it's also a couple years newer. |

Dragon88,
No Maristar shares the same hull as the X-2. The only boat that shares that hull is the ProStar 205v (identical boat w/ different graphics). The Maristar 210/230 and X-10/X-30 are completely different boats than the X-2. |
