so this season was cut short behind my friends mc due to the fact his driveshaft got bent....so ive been settling for riding behind my cousins 17 foot carolina skiff....

its the only pull i can get right now so im not complaining.

the wake behind this skiff is sooo tiny compared to the mc. so i feel like i dont really get the opportunity to grow.

until a friend of mine came out with us one day..out of no where he pulled a ts frontroll to revert........by far the sickest trick i had seen anyone do in my circle of friends...and behind the skiff at that!!

the wake behind this boat is probably slightly above the ankles and it has no tower so the rope is pretty much pulling against you once you are in the air.

can anyone explain how in the world this happened?
it has givin me encouragement to try inverts...but i have no idea where to begin....

try a heelside backroll, and your friend did a scarecrow, not a toeside frontroll to revert you just dont call it that

It's all about line tension and leverage. People do inverts in the flats. Work on getting the best pop out of your wake and all of your basics down and then work on it.

Although it is probably easier to learn an invert first and then take it to a smaller wake than it is learning on a small wake.

Like jakenj said, toeside frontR2R = Scarecrow. Although I find tantrums to be the easiest to throw off a small wake for me.

Actually a tantrum should be easier because you can rotate it much faster without much of a wake, where as a backroll you really do have to roll off of the wake, so if the wake is small you get no height.

You can do a both a backrolls, and tantrums pretty easy with a small wake. Its just all about having the right body position and line tension. If your on a small wake I wound suggest doing some spinning. It may not look as cool as flips but its way easier to learn your spins on a small wake.

i would think BR are easier because you dont have to 'trip' off the top of the wake to get the rotation.
