I have a dilemma…
So I posted a thread on here a while back about the Liquid Force Transit bindings that starting to peel at the toe.
Anyway I got around to emailing Liquid Force about an RMA etc. They were very prompt and sent me an RMA number and address to send the bindings back. They said that they will attempt to repair and if they are unable they will send a new set of bindings.
My problem is that as you all know we are in the middle of wakeboarding season and I really don’t want to go without my bindings. I plan to go wakeboarding 1 ˝ weeks from now and have an old pair of bindings that really don’t fit.
Should I wait until the season is over and send mine back? Or should I sent them ASAP and hope that there is a quicker than normal turn around time?
PS…how much do most shops charge to demo bindings for 2 days? I suppose I could send mine back not and then demo a different pair for the next trip and hope that my new ones comes by the following trip.
Thoughts? |

| Do you have buddies with similar bindings to yours? I'd send them right away though so you get them back unless you don't think the tear is that bad. As for demoing it depends on how big the shop is you gotta check with them. |

| the sooner you send them the quicker they will return. and depending on the place if demo i think its pretty cheap maybe $15 or so a day but the deposit is the killer. im probally wrong on that though i havent demoed anything in about a yr. |

What you should do is use your other bindings, or borrow some, and wait a little bit longer till the end of the season, so that LF may send you 08 Transits if they cant repair. _________________ 04 LF Trip 133

well i can still use the damged bindings.....
in fact they are fine but the problem is that they are not normal....you can see that there is definitely signs of the foam separating.
Me returning them is not so much a performance issue than a "i paid full price for these and they should not do this."
Do you think i can wait til the end of the season to send them back? They were purchased in june |

Wait till the end of the season. I purchased my setup from Overtons.com and they really took care of me. My 2006 LF Substance board was delaminating which can't be fixed to its original condition really. They didn't have any more of my boards in stock so I got to chose a 2007 LF PS3, brand new. I purchased my Substance in March, and I am just sending it back this week. They already sent me my new PS3 two weeks ago! They paid for shipping both ways, I didn't pay a dime. Try contacting the company you purchased it from and say it is defective and they should take it back and write it off to LF. Start the process now so its obvious how soon this happened. Then try "fishing" your way into the situation I got. This way you won't be without a set of bindings!! You are the customer.....the customer is always right, right? Its your money, don't let anyone push you around. _________________ It is...

So i returned the bindings to liquid force and they emailed me saying that they could not repair the bindings.
Thus they said that they will send a new pair. However, they were all out of the 06 and 07 Transit bindings in my size.
As a result they will send me a pair of 08's when they come out in Oct/Nov.
Now this is obviously a good thing especially since i bought the 06's for around $140.
However I am left with no bindings for the rest of the season. (this is not as bad as it sounds since i have a fractured tibia...)
However I may be able to ride conservatively for the remainder of this season but now i have no bindings.
Any suggestions on a short term binding solution? |
