Today I went out to the guys lake house we always go to. Got there around 11, and got to our riding spot around 12. The lake was pretty smooth out in the middle, but even when it looks smooth it might be rough, so we headed to our cove.
Got there and there wasn't a ripple in the water, until two jet skis came in behind us, and started tearing the water up, but they moved out quick.
Once I got up, I edged around for a minute and i kept telling myself not to go big the first run because i always suck the first run. So after i felt warm, I decided, what the heck, i got the new non stretch rope, might as well try a wake jump. So i warmed up with one and got half way across heelside, came back over and decided to aim for the flats. Got w2w, which was good so i edged out and went toeside and back to heelside etc. I ended up landing 10 or 12 wake jumps, and then i got tired and threw the rope, but man it feels good when you don't get your hair wet.
The water stayed glass for 3 hours after. I also did my first sitting dock start, which isn't really a big deal, but it's a first. |

Nice man I know the feelin when you dont get your hair wet. I like to dockstart and then when Im done with my run I try and get as close as possible to the beach so I dont get that wet if I havent fallen, that rarely happens tho...
What kind of rope did you get? _________________ 93 four winns

Oasis137,
Picked up an Accurate fuse, and the people at my local dicks sporting goods apparently didn't know what they were selling, and it was supposed to be a rope/handle combo, but because there was no handle, they had it marked down to 30 bucks... They're loss is my gain. Then I got some stretch rope and handle combo and just used that handle, but the handle on it is wide like a wakeboard handle should be and it's an eva grip |

| I had a similiar experience. Today I went out riding. The lake was super busy...full of rollers and a solid wind chop too, so I wasnt expecting much. Well whaddya know, I had my best set in weeks, in crazy chop! Crazy huh? Landed a HS FS 3, a pair of TS FS 3s and a pair of backrolls before getting my hair wet. Usually I fall on either a TS 3 or HS backroll at least once, but not today. Feels that much better cuz it was in such crappy water. Couldnt stick the FROLL though. Oh well, I was happy with that set |

I had a killer set today too. I went and picked up one of the guys in my riding crew from class, and got some perfect butter for 4 hours in the middle of the day. I stuck a HS R2R and Switch heel 5 back to back, which were both first time tricks for me. Got some TS melan ole 5's and all my other stock inverts, and some melan hs 3's and mute ts 3's, and a few Bs 3's off the double. I got my hair wet a few times, but I was really stoked on my riding today, can't wait till the next time I get behind a boat _________________

I like how drummas stories are always so descriptive. It makes for good bed time stories. Especially since they're usually so damn boring. I think I'll start saving them to tell to my kids when I have some. Maybe you could do an audio book, so I could listen to them while I'm going to bed? That would be grand. _________________ http://kmags.mybrute.com/

See, that just doesn't do it Epic. We need the detail to make it a quality bed time story. _________________ http://kmags.mybrute.com/

Hey guys, yesterday I cut outside the wake. The water was blue, but when I cut hard it turned white with spray! It was pretty sweet. I can rip on my heelside edge now that I installed that 2 inch p-wing fin. My buddy cory landed his first ts 1 wake today, we were stoked for him because he usually has trouble just turning and making grabs. My second set I did a couple drills from the book dvd, inside, outside, surface slides, etc. then I decided to cut in hard for a w2w toeside jump. I cased the wake on the other side and bounced off forward over my board and right into the water with my face. It sucks getting my hair wet, but my friends said it looked so cool when I fell, so all and all it was a sweet sweet day. |

Man. I had one of those days today. First, I had a sweet dream about jt09's mom. She made me peanut butter cookies, cause they're my favorite. Then I got up to a sweet enya cd that my boyfriend of 13 weeks bought me. I sure do love david-d, even if he does smoke menthols. Well, I got out of my scooby doo footy pajamas with the trap door, and into my brand new rip curl board shorts that you guys told my to buy thanks to that awesome poll I made last week. My buddies Craig and K-dub met me at the shell station on the corner of first and lake st. We filled up with 93 octane v power and bought some funyuns and mountain dew code red for the sweet ripping we were about to do. I looked into Craig's deep blue eyes and said "There's no place I'd rather be than right here with you on this beautiful sunny day." We put the brand new maxxum 17' 175 hp mercuiser i/o with a fly high pole, board racks, 500 lbs of ballast in the nose and linkin park jamming in the jvc tape deck into the glassy water and rode to our favorite spot. Well, not my favorite spot "lookout point" where my boyfriend takes me on his green ninja zx6r, but my favorite shredding spot.
But then the unthinkable happened...Some tubers came to ruin the day with power turns. Oh no!! Our beautiful day was ruined. But then, out of no where, Robert Harp came and started blasting away with his glock! He sure showed those tubers. Then we rode for hours. My hair didn't even get wet until ontrider gave me a golden shower. It was a perfect day.

Yeah...instant Karma for that one. As soon as I hit submit, my puppy took a crap on the floor. Then my Roomba ran it over. So rather than sit there and clean the poop out of the wheel and the brushes, I just threw it out.
I'm sorry. I take it all back. _________________ http://kmags.mybrute.com/

Well, on this particuler day I woke up with a little jump in my step as I knew today was the day. After 2 1/2 years of wakeboarding, I was gonna do it today. Got out to the lake about 2:00, threw on my wetsuit over my speedo. Strapped on my helmet and gloves and after only 8 attempts (new record) got up. So I decided to go through my usual bag of tricks before attempting to exit the wake. So I start out with letting go with my left hand, straight into a letting go with my right hand (damnit, forgot to grab it again with my left before letting go with my right). Boat turns around and I'm right back into my contest run. I wave to the people in the boat, reach down and touch the water, move ever so slightly from left to right making sure to bend waaaay over at the hips. Then, it's go time: I gradually climb the exit wake leaning as hard as I can against the rope, reach the top of the exit wake, look down and think to myself "damn, that's like straight down" so I bail back to the safe confines of the middle of the wake. I do that 7 or 8 more times and by now my back is just killing me from bending at a 90 degree angle at the waist for 20 minutes. So......well.......ah crap, fine, I quit after that and never really exited the wake. I'm a fraud, I just wanted to sound cool so you guys would like me. Screw you all. |
