What can be used as cheap weight? by that i mean something as clean looking as a fat sac, but not a mattress, lead would be cool, but i dont know where to get any. Would dumbbells work? how much do they cost, where can i buy em cheap? What about rust?
Any other ideas, besides barrels filled with water lol

I have posted this several times but I couldn't get a fat sack to fit my ski locker so I started using contractor grade heavy duty trash bags. I bought 40 for $8.96. I use 2 to fill my ski locker, and 1 each under the 2 front bow seats. They fill the spaces perfect, they take up no floor space, they are very puncture resistant. In fact I have never really had a leak. When I am done with them I use them for trash. So they are basically free. It works for me.
I also tried using the sacks in plastic 16 gal tubs beside my engine. Only for one pull, because I couldn't get the boat to plane.

if you are looking for lead, go around to local tire centers. I went to like 4 different places before I found one that just gave me all the lead I wanted. Most of the other places were willing to sell it for $.10 / pound.

you can make containers out of 4 inch pvc with caps on each end. Fill with whatever you want, lead tire weights, steal bars, sand. Glue the caps on and it should be water proof. Try to make each one 50 lbs and place where you need them

yea but they get made cause they have to sit in the front and always get slashed. and they get made because we wakeboard so long. they told me they would keep on doing this if i payed them. but i wont need them much longer, when i get the money i will have to buy some more fat sacs. im going to miss them

| Get some duffel bags and fill them with sand or the tire weights would be heavier.

4"PVC capped..filled with tire weights.
3.5 foot length...70lbs.
Makes more sense to go with 6" capped. I have two in the front of my VLX. Two feet long is 100lbs.

Kid's play sand actually comes in bags that are pretty nice. If you're still worried aobut it though you can either put them in garbage bags or buy some sacks from letsgoride.com.
macdaddywake has a pretty sweet idea though.
