I am a totally new wake boarder. Absolutely love it and pumped about being older and getting into it. I get up great and actually move around pretty good. one question is when I get up sometimes I just shoot left uncontrollably. Is because my from foot is pressing downward more and I need to even out my foot pressure more to the middle? Also if I wanted to try a W2W I was told you stay on a light edge on take off and landing, but when you get to your the wake -do you pump to get the air? _________________ David
That issue may be caused because your weight is not properly balanced between your feet and you are trying to stand up before you should.
And the W2W suggestion you got was completely wrong, in fact, the opposite is true! When you hit the wake you should be on your hardest edge possible - that is what generates your pop
do a search for W2W threads - there are literally billions at your disposal
I've seen people shoot to the sides uncontrollably for the best advice I can suggest for that is... even though it is kind of common sense but helps... is put your knees to your chest.
This will lock the pressure on your feet more evenly easier as long as you are holding the handle with both the palms facing down. I have seen people get up holding the handle with the palms facing eachother which I guess they got from skiing.
As far as w2w Zcaithaca, is right that is completely wrong, do a search there are tons of threads easily found just on that subject. Take a look at the Trick Tips and look at the progressive edge. _________________ Style is knowing who you are, what you want to say and not giving a damn.
