Yeah, they are blasting it all over the news here. He F'ed up, big time and it cost him and those affected dearly. He is also a friend of a friend and was painted as a horrible maniac when it all happened. I think both sides need to realize that he along with everyone involved will have that on their mind for the rest of their lives. "Think before you drink". And try to also remember that sometimes bad decisions are made by good people.

I don't drink, not even a single beer, without having a driver. Luckily my wife doesn't like to drink:)

Thats F'd up man. they should put breathalizer's in cars, if you dont pass the breathalizer than the vehicle won't start.

This brings up another topic to mind... Why drink and drive when you can smoke and fly. I know the of consequencese(sp) of drinking and driving you see it all the time... But in my 28yrs of exsitance i have yet to see an accident caused by the effects of god greatest creation..... marijuana AKA... POT, REFER, MaryJane, ganga, Kind, the green stuff, left handed cigerette, dope !!!!

Anyone know of someone who wrecked a anything while high on POT ONLY.

I do agree that drinking probably causes more accidents, but I would think any kind of drug would impair judgement and motor skills. I don't want to share the road with anyone who isn't sober, not matter what they're drinking, smoking, snorting, or shooting up. Party all you want, just keep it off the road, ya know?

those are the lamest commercials ever, I wanna break the t.v. everytime I see it, that's the same stupid thinking that got herb banned in the first place. the one where the guy attempts to molest the girl is seriously stupid, he would be to paranoid to try that.

How about not driving while you are high, drunk, etc. Anytime you are in a altered state of mind then you can cause accidents. Being that something such as a conversation can cause an accident....

this guy that used to go to my school a few years ago wrecked when he was high. he drove his jeep off the road and it rolled a few times. he luckily wasn't hurt or anything and no one else was involved. he said he didn't even notice the curve, he basically forgot he was driving

two guys at my high school wrecked the same way. High, forgot to turn.

Even some cough medications specifically warn the user to not drive when taking the medication. Aside from being illegal to have in the first place, I would expect that the same warning would apply to pot.

This was a long & interesting topic on the B.C.II Forums (before crash #2) I don't think that every point needs to be rehashed here but I would like to sound in with an opinion firmly against the use of pot. It seems a little pointless to me.

Please don't make the mistake of thinking this post is me telling you that you can't do it, because I know you can. This is just my $.02

A guy I know is currently serving a 25 to life sentence for killing someone after he fell asleep and veered into oncoming traffic while drunk. Turns out it was his 3rd DUI and he's only 23. Seemed to have everything going for him - good looking, g/f was a model, good job - and now he is completely screwed. And the woman he killed was just 28 years old, a teacher and newlywed. Her mother was also in the car and was seriously injured but recovered.

A tragedy that was completely preventable. His cousin tried to take his keys from him but he got pissed off and violent so his cousin let him go. Now so many lives are ruined and a woman is dead.

Don't drive drunk. Don't let friends drive drunk.

All pot smokers say the same thing. "Its not bad", "Alcohol is worse", "its natural". Everyone tries to justify their getting high all the time. The problem with alcohol and pot in a society, is that it isnt for everyone. The sad thing is that the majority of the public cant handle it, and thats what makes it harmful. I know many people who smoke, and I dont have a problem with it. However, for every person I know who has a handle on it who socially smoke with friends and are sucessful, I know 20 who smoke constantly, get crazy when they cant find any, risk their jobs(or wont work at all), and build their life around the existence of pot. Sure there are less car wrecks from potsmokers, because their cars got repoed because they wont work and wont pay their bills. Their idea of investment is buy a 1/4 and breaking it up so that they smoke for free!

At least alcoholics will admit that its bad.

I have watched pot destroy my bro. It kills me every day to see someone I love be the way he is. I miss the old bro. The funny kid with the bright future. I hardly know him anymore. Now all I get is the tempermental dischvelled guy who's body needs the drug so bad it wakes him up in the middle of the night. And yes, its only pot.

Now I believe to each his own with drugs; alcohol or pot. However, dont try to paint the picture of alcohol being bad and pot being this great resource supplied by God himself. They can both be your worst nightmare. Trust me Crying or Very sad
