So I sprained my ankle pretty badly on a roll to revert. Now, it is a week later and my ankle is still really sore if I flex it. Anyone else ever had this experience? If so, how long till you were back boarding and what advice do you have to get back sooner.

i was trying to get some raley's down and i flipped forward (fully rotated around)and landed my back foot first and just colapsed under my own weight. been 3 weeks now and my ankle/ knee/ upper calf still has pains
ive been doing lots of stretching and walking/ jogging and it seems to have helped a lot to take the "tight" tension feeling away |

Last month I landed very odd -- my body and weight were shifted back, and the ankle and board of the front foot going forward, and pretty much instant pain. The discomfort has not gotten worse, but it also has not improved. How long did it take me to go wakeboarding again -- oh, about 30 seconds until I got up again and then decided it was a bit hard to ride with weight on the other foot. Sat out a set and elevated it. Was hard putting the foot into the binding the rest of the day so was slow going at that, but no major probs since.

I used to have the same problems playing soccer, its so easy to roll an ankle there but it would heal up in a weak or so normally. If its 3-4 weeks and nothing has really improved, go see a doctor, you might have torn something in your ankle.

I've sprained my ankle pretty badly a few times playing soccer and football. I usually just stick it in a bucket of ice water for about half an hour a couple a couple of times a day and then keep an ace bandage on it to keep the swelling down. It always takes a couple of weeks for mine to recover and it doesn't feel 100% until I stay off it for a month or two over the winter. You could always try taping it up before you ride

i sprained my ankle pretty good last year in july on a tantrum...the doctor said i should saty off of it so i did for like a week but the pain was still there ao i just sucked it up and rode on it all summer and after every jump i would feel it but it never got any worse but never got any better lol. It didnt heal until ike january after a took a break from snowboarding. My advice is get an ankle brace that u can lace up and just go out there and try to have some fun. Good luck!
