I bet there's just a ton of wakeboard shops in Cairo for this guy to demo at.
I realize we get tired of the same old questions over and over, but take half a second to look at the poster before giving him grief.
44 - go to the hyperlite, liquid force, ronix and cwb websites. They all have some kind of chart that shows how aggressive a board is. You can also use the "gear" tab above to research.

I respectfully disagree. I believe that the PS3 is a much better all around board. I also think that the LF Shane has the best pop and softest landings.
I just got my second Shane setup in the mail yesterday. Almost 2 full seasons and I haven't been sold on another board yet.

If you loved the old one, why wouldn't you love this one. I bet it is about 1% different.
The wait? You mean all of 3 weeks?

| You absolutely cannot beat the PS3 for an all around board. Most boards sacrifice one aspect for another. They either have great pop but are relatively slow. Mediocre pop yet really fast. Might do everything you like but doesn't land soft. Lands soft but missing other aspects. PS3 is fast, forgiving, pops huge, lands soft, it just does it all. I'm not saying there aren't other boards out there that maybe don't do the same thing because I certainly haven't ridden them all. But nobodies been dissapointed with the PS3. After all that, I'm still a little torn between the PS3 and the Shane. Shane does it all as well. Not quite as fast but does pop a little higher and lands a little softer.

| I'm giving a NO vote to the PS3. It is too loose of a board but then again I think a lot of LF boards are too loose. I'd take an O'Brien Natural or Player anyday over the PS3. The amazing thing is that nothing is sacrificed with the Natural. I can break it loose and do surface stuff with ease but then it locks in when I want it too. I have an agressive riding style and it definitely fits for me. (Note: I used to ride the 03 Parks and I loved it except that it was too locked in. The Natural is the best of both worlds.)

| I'm giving a YES vote for the PS3. Even for a beginner (with the center fin) it's perfect. I do not think that it's too loose at all with the center fin. Plus, O'Brien just doesn't get the respect that LF does in general.

If you're an "aggressive" rider there's no way you can say the PS3 is too loose. It might be loose for a beginner finless but with the center fins in that board is not the least bit loose. I've been riding it off and on for the past year and even finless that board stays completely locked in on edge. That's why it's perfect, in nuetral you can break it loose fairly easily, but it really holds a strong edge once on edge. Anyone who thinks the PS3 is too loose just doesn't know how to ride very well and has poor technique. "All LF boards are too loose." Just learn to ride.

Epic, Woah, you sure thrashed me.
Here, I'll say it again: I'm an agressive rider and I think the PS3 is too loose.
It stays locked in on edge but is too loose, imo, if riding on the surface. I like stomping my landings, not landing on edge, hence I do not ride LF.
I don't doubt that you're better than me. But I've been riding long enough and have been on enough boards to know what I like.

Epic, wtf? lol...
smahmoud, like jt09 said, most all of the company sites have charts to view the agressiveness of each board. i have not ridden many boards, but if you like the parks stick with that. the parks can be a very good board if you know how to ride it. i find it hard to ride and to be inconsistent but for someone who knows how to use it, it shreds.
a board that is more consistent, but still is agressive is the liquid force substance. i ride that now and i like it alot. you can turn on a dime and once you get our edge locked in you can penetrate that wake and get alot of pop out of it. but if there is no possibility of demo-ing a board. then stick to what you know. get the parks. especially if you know how to ride it.
put it this way, if you know what expect of your board, then you know what it can and cannot do. but if you order a board you have never ridden before youre taking a chance on whether or not you will like it and whether or not it will perform the way you want it to. just remember, you can always get used to riding a board and still shred on it. ive seen people launch into the flats on 80 dollar boards from ski limited catalog.
lol, so my opinion is mixed you can tell...but there are some good thoughts in there somewhere. hope your board search goes well.
