|
|
So, last Friday, I couldn't wakeboard because the boat kept heating up too much. First stop on my way back was the boat shop, they were backed up about two weeks, so that was something I hoped I didn't have to resort to. Then when I came back, I figured I'd pop open the impeller housing and sure enough, it was melted!
I had forgot, but I had an extra impeller in the glove box, so I was able to fix the problem in about ten minutes. I had to go to work, so no riding that day, but I'll be back out Monday.
Just thought I'd give that word of advice that it's nice to have an extra impeller on hand. That's actually the second time I've had that happen. It just makes it better than waiting a few days for the boat shop to order the one you need. |

I also keep a spare impeller and tools on my boat. When I have more cash I'll get a spare prop and pulling kit. _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |

I just took the extra prop and kit out, cause I need to send the prop in(actually both need to go in). there is a spare impeller in the glovebox, but I will be putting it on soon _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com

| Just a direct drive. It's on a sport nautique. It's really accessible on that engine. It sits about floor level when you open the engine cover. You just have to detach the hoses and belt, open the housing, take off the old, throw on the new, and put it all back together. I could see how it would take a lot longer with a v-drive due to the difficulty of getting down in by the engine. |
