Id say ride where u can clear the wakes and or where the wake is nicest ... longer is best _________________ "Worrying is like a rocking chair ... gives you something to do but it doesnt get you any where" Van Wilder |

Between 70 & 80 is right on, it puts you at nice tall/wide spot on the wake. But if you are a super beginner you are probably riding slower which in turn forces you to shorten your rope. |

thanks for all the input, I got it figured out 65 feels pretty good. Any further back and the wake is broken up like whitewater. My knees couldnt take anymore landing in the flats with the rope at 55. |

what speed do you ride at. if the wake is washed out you could always speed up. |

I ride with an 85 foot line and 24 mph. I can't ride any shorter because with the slower speed the board sinks way to much when landing in the flats. I need the extra speed to keep the water hard. |

i ride at around 65-70 that ussually is good...the further back the bigger the wake, the more air u get......if the wake is lippy sometimes around 70+ so i will ride shorter _________________ Who ever said that water didn't hurt?
