|
|
| When I first tried on my cells I couldn't believe how comfortable they were. However, I could never get the laces cinched down very tight. Aside from them just being hard to cinch down tight I was afraid they'd break if I pulled on them too hard. So I broke one lace a few weeks ago cinching them down but far enough up that I could still cinch them down. Yesterday I broke another right in half and had couldn't use them anymore (I've been keeping my 06 transits on the boat because I knew these laces wouldn't hold up). Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with theirs. I want to keep the bindings but it seems Ronix overlooked the fact that these skinny laces won't hold up over time. |

You sure you have the right size bindings? You might be tightening them down farther than they were intended. Not that I'm a Ronix supporter but I would be surprised if this wasn't caught and remedied by now.. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

I knew as soon as I laced them up the first time they'd be breaking soon. I can't believe they put such wimpy laces on those boots. I even tried some other laces but they won't fit through the holes. Bummed cause those boots are so comfy. |

i just tie a slip knot right on top of the cincher. i got in a habit of it when i rode LF gear. it won't come loose then. quit working out so much and you won't break your laces. _________________ "...but even if you don't make it, it will only hurt for a minute." |

| I pull my laces pretty tight on my cells and haven't had an issue yet. I do get nervous though because I hear everyone else is breaking them. The thing I find is the lower set of laces always get stuck under my heel from cutting toeside or something. The one thing I would improve on in the Ronix line is to make the baseplates stiffer. I find I get a lot of heel lift when I am on edge. |

I used to go a little easier on them. I gradually starting pulling harder and harder and sure enough, in order to get them really snug you pretty much have to break them. Still kinda worth it for the comfort though. I'll try cycling down a bit on the steroids and maybe that will help too. |
