Anyone have details on a 1991 Mastercraft Maristar 210? Do they have any wood and suffer rot? how do they hold up?
Details:
5.8 PCM with only 251 original hours
this is a one owner boat
hoist kept from new
How is the wake on Maristars from this era? Any other input??

In 87, maybe even 86 Mastercraft did away with wood stringers, so rot is not an issue
In 91, the focus was to NOT make a wake, and no company was better at that then Mastercraft
However add some sacs, and it'll make ya a wake
If my memory serves me, it was easy to bury the bow and soak the boat if you weren't carefull
Short of that, it was a pretty decent boat considering that it was pretty big and in the market of not making a wake

$16.9K CAD is $12.7K US - that boat looks to be in very good condition and would sell for the US price (where I'm at anyway)
That's not to say you should try and bring down the price - but if you didn't, you have a very nice boat
Take out the back seat and put in one of them fat-sac seats and put a 300 # sac on the floor in the front - you'll make a wake

IMO you should be able to get that boat a little cheaper. I'm not saying it's not a nice boat, but simply one of those cases where it's only worth what someone will pay. That is not a desirable boat, there are cheaper alternatives to the hardcore wakeboarders and skiers alike. It's also teal. Looks to be in great shape and will make a good starter boat for someone. That low of hours actually scares me. I hope it runs well, however I wouldn't be surprised to see scale in the water jackets (block + manifolds) as well as scored cylinder walls.
The back seat frame is glassed into the boat however there looks to be a trunk where you could stuff a sac.
