| So I own an mb sports boss 210 and am in need of a new prop. The one I pulled off was one put on by the original owners. It was a 4 blade OJ 13" with 13 pitch. I couldnt find that same one on wakeside. I emailed and the guy suggested the acme 653. This one is a 3 blade prop. We run about 800lbs of ballast and dont really have a problem with holeshot but we also barefoot so top speed is nice. If anyone could let me know what the best prop for our boat would it it would be greatly appreciated. |

Try posting it in the correct forum
After you do that, don't expect people to reply to a thread on a Friday night when everybody is out drinking and having a good time or on a Saturday when everyone is out riding. Traffic dies on this site during the weekend. |

I know for a fact that the OJ 13x13 still exists....
you might have to look harder than wakeside to find it, if you liked the original??
why do you need a new prop?
you will get more high end with a 3 blade in most cases, but less hole-shot as well in most cases.
and JT's right.....this place is dead on the weekends.
boats and accessories is the place to go for this. |

| To really reccomend a prop we need to know what RPM's you are turning at Wide open throttle and what RPM range the engine manufacturer reccomends at wot. Also all props are different. If you have one that works well then stick with it. If you go with a different manufacturer or model it will may perform entirely different. I would stick with what you got unless the hole shot really sucks. if that is the case and your RPM's are too low at WOT then you would want to go with a smaller pitch - maybe a 11 or 12" pitch if you can find one. By lowering the pitch you will get more RPMs at WOT and a better hole shot - However this will lower you top end speed just a little. |

its all about prop pitch.. 3 blade is not much different than 4 blade to be honest. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/galen96 |

jt09, the only reason I didn't post in the boat general discussion is becuase I know that this forum gets more traffic and I really wanted to order on the weekend so that it could get sent out on monday.
K-dub, Thanks so much, that was exactly what I was looking for. |

| I emailed ACME and told them the kinds of things I do behind the boat and what kind of weight I'm running and they replied back timely with a recommendation on 2 props. Just email them directly and have someone give you the right direction to go. |
