A few weeks ago I changed my prop from the 13.7 X 17.5 to the 14.25 X 14. I did this to improve acceleration and make it easier to maintain speed in turns and with lots of weight in the boat. I had also heard that it could improve gas efficiency but was doubtful. Well, yesterday sealed the deal - it did improve gas efficiency. Normally when we are on the lake for the day, loaded with family and friends (10 of us), wake boarding, tubing, skiing, teaching the kids how to get up on skis and a wakeboard, and cruising the lake we use 40 -43 gallons of gas. Yesterday we did it all as usual and only used 30 gallons of gas! My top speed is down by 8mph but the hole shot was nearly as strong as my old DD. The boat kept speed (turns and coming out of turns) exceptionally well with the boat fully loaded with ballast and people.

Has anyone else seen the same results?

that was my result as well. i used to have to floor it{for a long time} to get on a plane. now never even close to floored. that prop will pay for itself.

Same results for me. I do not know what top speed I lost, as I do not go WOT very often. My boat comes out of the hole better than it did with the stock prop and no weight. I also get about 2 gallons per hour better burn. Holding speed is a lot better too (very noticable since my PP has been spazzing out).
