So I ride my cousins Ronix Divide bindings a few weeks ago and really liked them, decided I needed some new bindings and bought myself a pair last weekend.

Then yesterday (only my second time riding them) not only does the back strap tear off and the front Ronix patch start to fray, the plastic cap of the screw comes off on a fall and the whole right foot snaps off the board!

Has anyone had a bad experience with these bindings? I really like the way they ride but I'm not going to buy another pair if they're built like crap.

They may not look like it but the divides are pretty entry-level. I'm starting to regret getting my Ronix set up now Confused

on the ronix website it says they're durable. Neutral did it come off on impact or like after the fall?

I've had LF Teams for almost 2 years, and I have tried on all of the new bindings, and I still find my Teams more comfortable and better for riding, plus they havent broke yet... Very Happy

So you bought first year binding from first year company and are complaining because they haven't worked out the bugs yet? I'm sure they'll be happy to warranty them, but you have to give them some slack nobody gets it right the first time.

Yeah I know...but there have been plenty of threads about Ronix gear lately.

They came off during the fall but my buddy wasnt even landing a jump, he's not a very good rider and just caught an edge while cutting out backside.

I'm tempted to return these and buy a pair of 06 Hyperlite 3DS or Murray's, they seem to be really highly rated across all the sites and I think I can get em on ebay for only ~$50 more than the Divide's

The amount of your foot that sticks out the end of the Ronix (hyperlite too) open toe bindings is enough to make me stay away from them, let alone the fact that it is a first year company like jryoung said.

i cant say anything about the ronix line because ive never riden it but my LF entry level element bindings have lasted me 2 years and are still kicking hard and strong like the day i bought them for 100 bucks, no rips tears for failures to speak of, thats the kind of quality i would expect from a company to provide me.

J.M.B, Do you realize how long LF has been around? Ronix is a first year company. jryoung has the right idea. Liquid force has been around the block numerous times and knows what they are doing.

I bought used Team's, and they have lasted me two years now and still going strong. Still more comfortable than any other binding I have tried on.

but even if Ronix is a first year company Paul and Herb O'brien have been around since hyperlite. Give them some slack still they have to find the right manufacturer and keep their stuff away from china and make it in the USA. Because of this new swtich all companies are having trouble i remeber last year it was the Watson and shane bindings LF was doing a huge amount of replacements i even went though a set. Bottom Line stuffs gonna break even if its first year company or not and in most cases the product will be warrentied.

if memory serves meright i think 97?

i can understand that a new company is going to have mistakes, but it seems (only from what ive read) that it seems they rushed into getting their product on the market a little too fast

but like i said, i have never rodetheir gear yet so i have nofirst base accounts

hco, thats sick that you have had teams that can hold up to some abuse. I went through countless numbers of those bindings and i know many people that did also. I think thats why they only had that binding in the line for one year.

I think this sports getting ridiculous, it seems like riders are paying more and more for gear that is to be honest from all companys in my expirence of a crap quality and i think it's also gotten worse over the past few seasons. What you guys think?

I know Ronix are new and in someways should possibly be given some slack, but ive seen more 2007 products from the big three companies breaking within the first few rides than before.

In my opinion it's perfectly normalt for new companies to have problems phasing in a new product line, BUT: If you know you're gonna have problems with your products, you don't charge limbs and souls for it...
of course it's the market that regulates the price. As longs as there are suckers buying the stuff, Ronix are making $$

arctic_pitbull, the divides are cheaper than most other entry level bindings. 179 for a pair of divides, 199 for lf fusions. The divides are a far superior binding to the fusion.
