2000 Mastercraft 205 ECM Bad

I went to take my boat out and it would not start. Took it to the dealer and he told me that my ECM(Engine Control Module) was missing a pin from corrosin. The boat is still under the original 3 year warranty from Indmar. My dealer is telling me that he is not sure if it is covered because the pin broke from corrosin. Which I feel is crap. The wiring harness is supposed to be waterproof. This part costs $975! Anybody else have any troubles like this?

I wouldent give up. If the MC dealer says that it's not covered I would contact Indmar directly and find out what they say. Check out their web page.

yes, it doesnt sound like abuse, it does sound like a defect.
Some dealers don't call about things like this, so if your dealer says that its not under warranty call the manufacturer's customer relations, be polite to them
