Right now I have an O'Neil gooru vest, but I'm thinking about getting a Jet Pilot Attack vest. Do you think I should do it? I've heard that the gooru doesn't float very well, but does the attack? Also, is the attack flexible and comfortable?

my friend has the attack and he can swim to the bottom of the lake if he really wants too..

any comp vest isnt going to float the greatest, however they are more stylish.

ps. are you going to sell the gooru?

no i'm not selling the gooru. I know that comp vests aren't floaty at all, but I've heard that the gooru is the least floaty of them all. What I'm most concerned about is the mobility actually.

I had a JP Stance comp vest once. I didn't care for the floatation at all.

If you want to try a CGA vest, try the LF Hinge/Ambush Hinge. I have the Ambush version and it's pretty non-constricting. I also have a Helium SWAT CGA vest that is thinner, although a little longer than the Ambush.

if you want a "floaty" comp style vest I'd go with the JetPilot Baller.

I love mine! It's comfy, has plenty of flexability, and floats almost as well as some of the very bulky USGC non-comp style vests.

Sorry for the confusion...I don't care about the floatiness at all, I was just pointing out. I was wondering which one was just better in general.

Stewie, the A10 or whatever they are calling it these days is absolute garbage. Some guys may disagree with me on this but I have seen people almost drown because they hardly float. Even pro riders who are sponsored by JP thought they were rubbish.

Not a huge fan of them as you can see, I'd stick with the guru. I'm still riding and loving the O'Neill Vapor.

CHILI, how well do the Helium vests float??

DRAGON88, one of my cousins insisted on wearing his A10 when we all decided to swim across the cove on our houseboat. Our parents were out for dinner and he almost drowned cause we all swam so far and back, and he was far behind us, we got to him with the ski though, so it was okay. Shocked

you're not gonna find a more mobile vest than the gooru. Ronix has a pull-over vest like it now, and Billabong's sanford vest is similar too, but I think the gooru is the most mobile of them all. The Billabong one runs huge though get two sizes down. I'm 6'3" and weigh 170, and the small sanford was borderline too big.
