Having never worn the Alphas, I'm gonna go with the Transits. I have a pair of the '06 Transits and they are pretty comfy. For what it's worth, I know LF considers them a better quality binding than the Alphas... _________________ Whoever coined the term "Near Beer" was a very poor judge of distance... |

| Transits are better. For the money, I'd get the Shanes. My friend Ryan at www.americanboatcenter.com will hook u up on a set of 06's = call and ask. |

How much do the Shanes run?
Im checking out a pair of transits on ebay that have a few hours left before the auction ends but they are currently $100.
Obviously this will likely rise as the end of auction approaches but what price range are the shanes? |

| He can get those for around 180 if he still has leftovers. You can sometimes pick those up on ebay for that same price or a little better if you're lucky. I've ridden them for 2 years and they are by far the best bindings on the marked IMO. I rode the new Ronix Scouts and went back to my shanes. |

So the closed boot doesnt bother you at all?
For some reason I feel like the open toe would just feel much better....
Im going to see what I can get these transits on ebay for and then see what happens.....
BTW i would need XXL as my foot is 14-15. DOes your buddy have that size in the Shanes? |

What's the difference in bindings year to year? I have some 05 parks and I know they were one of the top bindings in 05, but are there really that many advancements between bindings yearly?
I know board's don't seem to evolve quickly, but I haven't ever heard anything about bindings. |
