How accurate is the CWB binding sizing chart when it comes to 'real world' shoe size? I'm wanting to score some '07 Zeus and my actual shoe size says I'm a medium on their chart (8-10), but my experience with bindings is that they tend to run small. I wear a size large '04 Zeus now. Shoe size is 9-10 depending on the shoe. Online stores are leaning towards large/xlg (11-12).
Thanks!
Paul

| To me the sizing on the articulated toe bindings is accurate. I always wore a size bigger before, like you said, but with the factions and zeus I go with the recommended size.

As Matt mentioned, it's just about spot on in the articulated toe binders.

Thanks for the replies guys. Based on your responses I decided to give the mediums a shot.
I have to give a shout out to Jeremy at Buywake for hooking me up!

I tried the faction med. on and I have a size 8, all my toes turned numb after about 10 min. I think it depends foot thickness and how wide you foot is also.
The size chart is more of a general guide. But those are great boots.

| I have the Xlarge mobe's on my board now. It was a package and my feet hurt bad after having them on for only 10-15 minutes. I have a size 13 foot and i just ordered the 07 factions of the internet. I got a pair of XXlarges so we well see how those work out. Should be here in 3 days. Ordered from Wakeside.com

I wear an 11.5 and have a narrow foot. I have the Large Zues which are super tight at first but can stretch them to fit perfect. I ride the XL's for my winter bindings so I can get a layer of neoprene in the boot also.

I just got my LE Zeus (size large) and they are smaller than my 06 Zeus (also size large). They are breaking in and stretching to fit as time goes by. They are the sweetest boots I ever ridden.
On a separate note...make sure you tie the knot that holds the recoil string again when you get them. Mine came undone and i lost the nylon strap used to loosen the boot. CDub sent me a new strap for free, just took a week to get it.

Hey all,
The Zeus' were delivered today! First impression is that I'm going to love 'em! I was able to wiggle in dry! ...and I think the mediums are going to be perfect. I'll give them a tub test tonight.
The lace was definitely in need of the modification. I might have gotten a couple pulls before the original knot came loose. Put in a bowline knot and I'm good to go!
Thanks again for everyone's advice!
Paul

P hat in Cincy, let me know how you like the ripcord thingamabob.
Right now, it's a love hate thing. Some hate, some love. Am in the process of getting traditional laces for some friends to try out on top instead of the ripcord thing.
A buddy "tubbed" his to get the heel pads just right. Results were good.

| sounds good. After a few sets you are probably going to want to tighten the cables a turn also, just something to keep an eye on.

So let me get this straight...you wait until I buy the binding to tell me that the lace will break and the hinge will loosen!?! Just kidding, of course!
Chavez...I'll try to remember to do so.
Matt1808...thanks for the tip.

Well...I did the tub test tonight and getting into and out of these things is going to be so much easier than my '04 Zeus...with much less (to none) lube! No more looking like I'm having convulsions trying to 'jump' out of my bindings when my run is done.
It'll take a few sets to get them broken in, but they are pretty comfy already.
Chavez...I tried the lace wind-up tool. It works good. The only thing is that it feels like the lace could pull out of it at any time. I don't know how it's secured inside it, but I already found myself compensating by wraping the lace around my hand to take the brunt of the pull.
Hopefully weather and timing will work out this weekend to try these things out. See how quickly I can turn that white to brown/tan!
Pics of the setup...

Well...since they are similar in concept to my Flow snowboard bindings I figured I'd give it a tray this winter!
I got my first couple sets on them today. All I can say is that I'm very pleased with them. I can get in with no lube, but still use just a small amount to make sure I get my foot forward. The overlays have great coverage (no toes sticking way out), and they wrapped and held my feet and ankles very nicely. They are very comfy and have super cushioning effect...even for not being broken in yet. Once I get all the lace features down, they be very easy and quick to get in AND out of! Overall...A+!
I'm glad I went with the medium. I think my feet might have been swimming in the large.
Thanks for all the replies and help.
Take care,
Paul

according to the sites, sizing is medium (8-10), large (11-12)
i'm a 10.5, what would you guys recommend?
i'm thinking the mediums would be tight and the large would be too big
i have no idea regarding cwb bindings but i want them zeus limiteds... pretty sick!

WW,
As you stated, you're in that gray area b/w the medium and large, so I don't know. The only thing I can tell you is that I lean more towards a 9.5 and these things are comfortable out of the box. By my 2nd set, no issues with comfort. Not even on the first set aside from a little tight on the foot width.
I hate to offer anything up and for you to be displeased. If you were a 10, I'd say get a medium...and I MIGHT lean that way at a 10.5, but really...get someone's experience with a foot size closer to you.
Paul
