Does anybody have any suggestions for stains on vinyl seats. This stupid tree by my house dropped some leaves and little twiggs in my boat, and the ones I missed, turned into stains in the off season. I don't want to use anything to abrasive or anything that can ruin the vinyl. Anybody have a suggestion? I can't stand to look at them anymore. Here are some pictures.

I had the same thing happen to me and the only thing that you can do is use some type of cleaner. I went to the auto store and picked up some vinyl cleaner and used that. It didn't get the stain all the way out but it lightened it.

I discovered the samething on my boat yesterday
...I scrubbed for an hour with every type of cleaner I have:
house boat and marine...it lightened it but did not remove.

Went to the river for a couple of hours riding and came back and they were gone...

I had some stains that would not come out with any cleaning agents, but the sun made them disappear in about 4 hours!

Try leaving them out in the sun!

chase,
Hey Chase, i acctually heard someone else tell me that too. I am going to try it but I was wondering if you think I should put 303 protectant on it first before I put it in the sun. I don't want cracks but I also don't know if the sun will work better if I don't have the protectant on it. What did you do?

Thanks for the tip Matt Beck, If the sun doesn't work, I'll pick up a bottle of that stuff too.

I didn't start using 303 until a long time after that and it never did any damage. The 303 might actually prevent the sun from working on the stain. I would try the 303 afterwards! Good luck!

That sucks that it is in-between the seats like that. Mine took a little while, but it was always in direct sunlight! Good luck with that one! Let us know if thew krazy klean works.

I got a label stain on my interior (like from the wrapper off of something), I cleaned it up with comet and a light abrasive pad. My upholstry is tan, didn't bleach it, but I didn't leave it on very long, and didn't scrub too hard. Also, you might try arm and hammer baking soda and water (this is also excellent for cleaning white stitching and mildew spots).

It wont come out, there are people that can use a vinyl paint and fix it like new. ask around at your local boat dealers they should know of a vinyl repair guy, If that doesnt work a large car dealership will know.
