The last few weeks I've been tossing my wakeskate on the tramp and having a couple sessions. I remembered watching a video where someone did it a while back. Learning how to move with the board and maintain control takes some practice but it's a lot of fun.
So far I'm doing shovs, 360 shovs, kickflips, 180s, grabs, and a trick I'm not sure what is called: A backside shove-it and a front-side 180. Haven't had any luck with a bigspin or any sort of varials on my kickflips.
For anyone else who has tried it, is it helpful once you get on the water? I skate on the water so infrequently I have to relearn how to ollie every time and am working on my first shov. Obviously I'm not going to be able to just start throwing these behind the boat but are the mechanics similar with how you compress and then suck your knees up to your chest to get the board to come up with you? _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

Wakebrad, I need a trampoline.
What kind did you get?
I would check out ws.com, they have a ton of tramp posts. _________________ www.integrity-wake.com |

I got the JumpKing from Sams. $190. I may have to register over there with those hooligans. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

Trampboarding is super fun and it really helps on the water with board control. _________________ ...island style... |

Nick Taylor, I was reading some threads on ws.com about it. You know how you push down and then suck up your feet to get the board to stay with you on the tramp.. Is that similar to how you initiate tricks on the water? My ollie is so inconsistent. Some days I feel like I've got it down great and am getting a foot off the water and other times the board doesn't stay with me and doesn't get any height. I wonder if I'm not pulling my feet up quick enough and allowing the water to push the board up and stay with my feet. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

It's all a rhythm. You compress the tail into the water and bring the nose up at the same time to start, and then as the water reciprocates your pressure on the tail and pushes back, throwing the tail up, level out your board by bringing your other knee up. It's like an arc. _________________ ...island style... |
