bigger air. however on some boats like a few of the I/O's i have ridden behind a rope that is too long puts you back where the wake is washed out and sloppy. also when i bring newbies along i shorten the rope up for them because there is a smaller gap w2w which is easier for them to clear. _________________ I once saw a fork lift pick up a pallet of forks, it was way too literal for me. |

Yeah, a longer rope allows you to cut farther away from the boat so you can have more speed on your edge coming into the wake.
