| Ok tried getting up on the wakeskate i made a couple days ago for the first time ever on a wakeskate. The board just wouldn't go up. Water just kept spitting over the top (side of board but top when sideways) and then when i tried to turn it it would start to go up and then wood just pull straight under! Also i had the board wobbling a lot before i turned it. Is this normal in getting up and do i just need to keep trying or is my board a problem here? |

| How fast do you normally go for wakeskate? I get up for wakeboardering around 10-12 mph and i think for wakeskating my dad was going probably more on the 10ish side. Do i need to go faster then? thanks for the tip. |

To keep from wobbling, make sure you have an even amount of wiehgt on both of your feet.
And go faster. _________________ ...island style... |

Pconn5, what kind of start are you trying? board on the surface or the board underneath the surface? _________________ www.integrity-wake.com |

Hope you don't mind if I ask a question in this thread, since you guys are being so helpful.
I have no problems getting up but then I am like what do I do??? Any recommendations for a new wakeskating enthusiast? What are some easy first tricks or practice that I should be doing?
Note: I have wakeboarded for 4 years and wakesurfed for 3...finally dipping in to wakeskating and just starting out. If you don't mind me asking in this thread. My hubby got me the LF Maven and previously I had been using the HL Scape so it is definitely a difference in boards and my experience was just getting up and that is about it. Thanks in advance... _________________ wakeoutlaws

Pconn5, I found the deep water starts easier.
Once you get those dialed you will be getting up in no time.
Just relax and dont think to much about it. Give it a few tries and it will become second nature.
hgaugh, Any of the surface tricks are great for beginners, lipslides, board slides, shuv its, Ollies etc.
take a look at wakeskating.com the trick tip section, in it you will find endless tricks to have fun with. _________________ www.integrity-wake.com |

| So are you saying that underwater or on top of the water is easier? You said deep water starts but aren't both deep water starts? Which do you find easier? |

Pconn5, Board on the surface is considered a water start, underneath is a deep water and then you have the beach start, dock start, bomb drop, chair start etc etc.
I do the deep water start.
the bottom line, try them both and whatever you prefer you should do.
hgaugh, no worries. teach me how to wakesurf. I just started and it is a blast.
The both of you should talk to Nick, that kid is the sickest pro skater around and is always willing to answer everyones questions.
Get the video "Volume 4". _________________ www.integrity-wake.com |

| Ok don't want to start a new thread so im putting it here. My local dealer sells liquid force skates. Im hoping to get a new skate for my birthday and ditch the skate i made because it doesn't float too well. I was wondering if the liquid force faction would be a decent chose for a good cheap first board. Im hoping to start doing some ollies and maybe some harder tricks down the line. Im not going full wakeskate but just something to mess around on after wakeboarding before going in. So is this a good chose. I don't want to go too expensive. |

| So anyone have any thing to say on the liquid force faction? Any god pop. Allow me to do tricks or prevent me any video of how the board rides? |
