lol........so thats obviously a stupid question...
MEMORIAL DAY....so me and my little bro were behind the boat on tubes, my g/f driving... COMPLETLY missed the warning bouys on plane...shallow water bout 1 1/2 feet deep...
With any luck i can get it fixed up in about 2-3 weeks and not miss much time on the water....

Scott's Weed & Feed will take care of those broadleaf weeds...and, yeah, your prop is a wreck. Is your lower unit ok?

Brutes...
rowlex, check out ebay for a new prop. My dad lost a bid on a Merc Hi5 a while ago but I think it topped out at $300.
Don't even think of taking that in to be fixed.

| Damn man, I believe if that was my wife, or g/f in your case, we would be having a coming to Jesus meeting in the boat. But hey, stuff happens and everybody messes up from time to time so no biggie. Could have just as easily happened to anybody else. But yea Id say its prolly not good.

so I hope you learned a lesson and stop tubing...
I guess you'll need a new prop, this one is totally wrecked...

They will weld on new blades, but it probably isnt much cheaper than a new prop. I just bought a 4 blade alum vortex for 130ish. might want to just look into that.

I wrecked the original 3 blade prop not even that bad and it cost me $65 and a week. After flipping through ebay I should have just threw that one out.

surprisingly the skeg from what i can tell is mostly all there(shiny now as the paint is scraped off of most of it, also it is slightly bent to the left maybe 2-4*), there's 2 small dings in the front of the housing.... I'll be sanding and attempting to smooth out the front portion of the lower, then re-paint.
the prop shaft was bent pretty damn good luckily only bent outside of the bearing carrier, I've got it all pulled apart and about to order a new propshaft and seals. Should be all it needs.
Also got to do some resin + gel coat work on the bottom of the boat.
OH yea the best part....well kinda, is that I got a new prop for 50$! (craigslist) unfortunently a new prop shaft is 190$....and seals are about 50$
also i got a question for those of you that know outboards...I had never checked before this happened but afterwards when the boat is in neutral i can pull on the prop and get some in/out play on it...is that normal?
