|
|
| How do you connect or cross connect the dual voice coils on a 12w6 to get it to 6ohms or 12ohms?? How many ohms are recommended for a 50x2 Phoenix Gold bridged to 1 channel? I heard it could produce 255Wx1 @ 6ohms but we can't find any info online of how to bridge it. Thanks for the help!! |

I belive you hook it up the same way as you would a single voice coil. You'll just use two wire per -/+ instead of one per -/+ as with single voice coil.
IM wakedork he will know. _________________

if you want 12 ohms connect one positive from one voice coil to the negative on the other and then run the left over positive and negative to the amp this is series. If you want 3 ohms run the possitive from one side to the possitive on the other and then the same with the negative. Then from the run the possitive and negative from one voice coil to the amp this is parallel. Are both voice coils 6 ohm or 12 ohm. If they are six and you run it the first way you will get 12 ohms. If you run it the second way you will get 3 ohms _________________ Fire it up!!!!

| Spy has it. Go to JL Audio.com and they have the diagrams for the subs. I did my 12 W that way ( can not remember the last number, but it is at four ohm now.) |

| Thats great, thanks for the detailed info, I got sick of looking through dead-ends on google.com! I will check JL's web page as well to see what other options are available. |
