Just wanted those in the Chattanooga, TN area to know that I just picked up a new 07 VLX if anyone is looking for a pull. Also, I've got a new setup for sale (Ronix Frontier 137 and Scouts Size 11) (ad in classifieds).

| Actually, it's not a silver edition. Same colors and decals. It has all of the same options, but not the 400hp motor or the 77k price tag.

| We had it loaded last weekend with the factory 1250lbs of ballast and 11 people + wedge, and the 340 monsoon had no problems getting out of the hole.

I'll snap some pics tonight and post them this evening. Here's what the build pick looks like w/the illusion tower.

Thanks for the compliment. The thing I love best about this boat is that I haven't ridden in 10 months due to having to have surgery last July to repair a torn ACL/lateral and medial meniscus (backroll), and with the wedge, I can ride with only filling only the center and front ballast and still have a smaller but firm wake. I tried to ride with all of the ballast filled and the wedge half way up, but it was just too big for me right now and I was ending up upside down on half of my wakejumps.
Riding with only wedge and front/center ballast is very much like my old boat (01 X Star) so at least it feels somewhat familiar.

| Fins just help the boat track. In my experience, they also seem to help me deflect sticks and lots from dinging my prop. - although I know that's not what they're there for.

martin pearce, they're on just about all inboards. a skier or wakeboarder can really snatch a boat around when they're cuttiing hard

also the lower unit on I/O, and O/B act as a fin for stability. LakeIolaLuke, that is true. when I gotta ride behind the fishing boat, my dad says he can feel me pulling away from the boat.

| Yeah. I think you'll win due to the fact that Bishop won't have your tower on the boat yet.

| I actually got it delivered on friday before last. I'll take some one the water pics this weekend. I just installed a new XTP mirror arm on it last night, so I'm finally ready to go.

Yea, Doug's the man, if you are looking at buying a Malibu definately hit up Overboard Watersports, Knoxville has some great boat dealers. I guess that it helps having Mastercraft, Malibu, Supra, and Moomba all manufactured within a 20 mile radius, haha.

| thats a sick boat and the silver/chrome tower makes it the silver edition for sure. just wondering though when you put the wedge at 1/2 did you get it to plane first and then move the wedge or did you start with it at 1/2.

| It's easier on the cruise control if you start off where you want the wedge. We're going to be riding it up all weekend. Firday, Saturday and Sunday in Soddy Creek if anyone's interested!
