So i have been riding on a 141 for a while. first board was a greg nelson 141 double up, next 141 premier, next 141 gator militant, and now im getting another premier. I'm wondering what you guys think would be the advantages and disadvantages of having a shorter board. i weigh about 150 pounds and stand around 5' 10'' should i have been riding a smaller board this whole time?

Its all personal preference. If you've been riding a 141 the whole time and are comfortable I'd stick with it, however if you want, demo the 136. Im 5'8 160 and personally prefer shorter baords because they're easier to spin but its all personal preference.

you should demo as many boards as you can but i think a 141 is a bit big for you, you might find a smaller board better

i saw your video and it looks like the 141 is working nicely. I think you should try like a 138, i ride a 139 axis and im 5'8 170. at 150 a 141 is to big, but being to big cant hurt you, you just dont want to be to small

I know what you mean
I just think having a smaller board might have more advantages than a longer board. Think about grabs, spins, inverts and all of the ways the length of your board effects them. More centrifigul force, more space to grab, Landing stability and softness, there are many things the consider. |

I find it funny that out of the 105 hits this post has gotten only 8 people have answered my poll. I know you guys couldnt care less about this, but i would appreciate any responses and would rather have you answer the poll question if your not planning on posting anything. Everyone has an opinion!

If you ask me I would stick with a 141 because you already know what it's like / are comfortable with a 141, unless you can demo and test out the shorter length board, if you can then I think you should do that _________________ If you are assuming I’m a guy by my screen name, you would be very surprised if you saw me in a bikini

141. Landings are more stable, which means you'll be more consistent. Now, if you have the opportunity to demo you might as well. It never hurts. But if you can't, stick with the 141.

moving from a 141 to 136 seems like a big adjustment to me. Why not something like a 138 or 139, closer to what you're riding now?
