if the PVC is big enough(diamiter) put a bolt through the wood and into the bottom of the PVC and then put a nut on it. I think that made since.

skobi1...me and my buddy are building a slider right now, and that is exactly what we want to do to fasten the pvc to the board... maybe we're retarded, but we cant figure out how to do that in the middle of the pipe.... you have to have access to the inside of the pipe to be able to hold the nut....or lag in our situation, in place...and you cant really fit your arm all the way down the pipe to hold it....so how do you get the nut on the bolt????

Drill a hole big enough on top of the pvc to fit the socket down through it. Then just tighten it up

Recess the top of the bolt into the wood. After drilling the hole in the wood for the bolt shaft, put the bolt in the hole and hammer on teh top of it. THis will make an indentation in the wood shaped like the top of the bolt. When you tighten the bottom nut the bolt head will slot into the indentation and not move.

You can also recess it more securely with a chisle.
