buying 07 or wait for an 08

my local moomba dealer has a 2007 outback v and i am wanting to jump on it, but since i am going to refi my house i can't buy until june or july. i started talking to him about ordering a boat incase that one sold and he mentioned the 2008 slots will open up in august of september. say the same outback v is still there in july, should i look to get a better deal on that one or should i wait and get a slot for a 2008?

Dude... if you have to make a house refi this year anyways, wait for the boat show next year, pay an extra 2k (40k total) and get the Mobuis LSV. It is a much better boat, considerably bigger, and only 2k more. It will also have a better resale value than the outback V. However, if at the end of the year you can get him down to 33-35k, maybe stick with the outback.

first of all no moomba ever sells out. your dealer is pulling your strings. don't buy brand new moomba, try to buy a demo boat

i am considering looking into the mobius lsv and outback lsv since as you mentioned the price not that big of a difference. they have offered to let me demo a couple boats, but i don't want to do that until i am ready to sign the papers. once i demo the boat and get a feel for what each is like then i will have to make the decision from that.

he was saying that his slots were already filled for the 07 year so i would have to wait and order when the 08's are released.

I would test drive a good handful from several dealers before I signed any papers.

i will be checking out other brands, but i have a budget i would like to be within at the time of purchase. i would love to come in under 40k, but i also know that if i want other options 45k would be my limit as an out the door price. i have done a ton of research on boats and skiers choice does use a lot of the same products as other companies and the difference seems to be within the interior material that is used and what is standard.

do all companies release the 08 models around the same time? there are boats shows in so cal that i could attend and possibly buy the boat at.

wait!... and buy a 07. you can get it 6k under!... and the different between 07 and 08 are none!

well hopefully they still have the one i am looking at unless i make the jump to an lsv or another brand.
