Im looking at trading in the 03 moomba lsv on a bigger boat. I need something that will handle rough water for lake powell and was looking at the tige 24ve. What do you guys think on this boat? It seems quite deep and looks like it would do well in rough water. I found a few locally that are 05 and 06's with low hours in the upper 40's and thought they looked pretty good. Do you know if there are any changes in the 05-06 vs the current 07's? I want to make sure i am getting the latest hull design ect.
any advise is appreciated or any recommendations for a 24 footer that will do well in rough water. |

The supra 24 SSV is pretty good in the rough while I find the X 45 to be the best i have encountered. I would go with the supra though you stay with skiers choice get a bigger boat for great money and it is all around 5 star performer. _________________ Supra owners join the group!

It all depends on what you use your boat for. A Centurion would probably be a better fit if you solely wakeboard. They are good rough water boats and throw a reasonably good wake. If you spend just as much time skiing, tubing, cruising, etc. as you do wakeboarding then I would look into the Tige's. They are solid all around boats and fit somewhere in between wakeboard boats and I/O's.
I am also pretty sure that the 24ve is only available in 06 and 07. There was a 24V available for 05 and the only real difference is the walk through transom. |

Well, i made the decision and went for the 24v. I found a nice 05 with les then 40 hrs on it and in PERFECT condition for 45k. It had all the options as well as a way nice stereo. The best part is they took my mobius lsv in on trade and gave me 24k for it. This boat next to my lsv looks huge! its nearly double the freeboard and way deeper V. Im sure it will be 10x better in those rough water days at lake powell!
It was kind of annoying how the dealer was going on and on about the no ballast wake but after reading everything here i expected that!!
im sure it will have a bigger wake then my mobius expecially after i add some ballast |
