i have a question on speaker mounts for a tower? can u make em and if so what do i use and where do i get it? or do companys just sell mounts and how much!!?!?!!? i need cheap!?!?? any homemade ideas for cheap!?!?! thanx!!! late

There is a guy selling a pair of Boss speaker mounts in the classified section on this site. Mind you boss is by no means cheap...but it is good quality stuff that's for sure...If you want really cheap just use "U" bolts or muffler clamp type fasteners...

do you already have the speakers? what kind of enclosure are they in? there is an endless number of ways to mount them and have it look sweet.

i just finished my tower speakers about hmm..... 7 hrs ago... i used u bolts and turned them upside down so i could take the twer spkers down when it rained, ill try to post some pics

No pics yet? I got the MTX indoor/ outdoor speakers I'm trying to mount. Will probably just use u-bolts.

they are homemad out of 6 in. pvc.so what should i use. i dont think u clamps will look good unless im thinking of a differnrt thing? anyother ideas or ways u guys didi it?! thanks alot . late

i would go see your local fastener supply house. i think what would look the best is stainless carriage bolts coming through from the top of the tower into the speaker enclosure where i would use a wide fender washer and a nylock nut. if you dont know what a carriage bolt is its rounded on top so you cant put a wrench on it. with this mount you would need one bolt in the front and one in the rear, then one small hole for the speaker wires. the fastener supply should also be able to furnish some grommets for the wire to run through so it dosnt get chaffed. hope this helps, post some pics when your done!
