How far apart are your bindings spaced

Hi. Dont want to drill too many holes in a wood wake board we are making. 18 inches center to center for mounting the bindings seems about right. Am wondering how far other people go from there. Riders are noobs 6 ft 150 to 190 lbs. Shoulders about 17 to 18 inches. Anyone willing to go measure their binding spacing for us?. Board will be flat bottom except the rocker. May start with no fins. Thanks.

First off, the spacing of ones bindings varies from rider to rider because its all about personal preference. Thats why boards have four sets of inlays, an inside and an outside set for each foot, spaces about an inch and a half apart. It looks something like this:

Anways, as far as how the inlays are spaced on the board, this varies board to board depending on the sizing. The people you describe should be riding a board in the 135-138 range. This is what I ride, but my board isn't with me at the moment so I cant measure it. You might be able to search the internet and find each manufacturers specific stance specs...I'll try to measure mine when I get back if I can remember to...Good luck building your new shred stick!

The way i have heard to figure out the spacing of the bindings is stand on a table or a couch or something. Then jump off and land naturally. How you naturally land is where you should space your bindings at. So make the jump land and measure that. If multiple people are riding and you don't want multiple holes then try to get everyones and take the avg. of those measurements to fit everyone closely.

when i jump off of things i try to keep my feet closer together so i don't break anything.
probably about 7" apart.

Jump off a picnic table, or something of similar height and look at where your feet are when you land. Measure the space between your feet and the angle of your feet.

Thanks yes i read a bunch of that jump... in old threads, but I was hoping that if a bunch of people measured we might find out that everyone uses 22 inches or something simple. Probably wrong on that one but I thought it was worth a try. Good one JDMmon. When I jump it varies from 18 to 24. The reason I dont want the extra holes is because we will probably be using a barrel nuts going up through the bottom for binding mounts, so any unused open holes will go right through the board and would probably be pissing up annoying water while riding.

The board should be about 136.5cm when finished like in the pic. The pic link shows the top view and above that is the side view of the rocker jig cut from 2 by 6 boards. Rocker should flatten out a bit I think when it comes out of the jig. Dimensions are millimeters.

Any suggestions on the shape would be good. We wont be glueing for a week or two. The rocker jig is already cut.
