Well here is a boat that I can't find too much info on. I liked the fact that it had smooth curved lines and the velvet drive was perfect. Oh yea, it was $1,800!! Very Happy

It is a 1989 19' Seaswirl Spyder Skier
I just built and installed a new .030" over 351W w/ an Edelbrock Performer intake and a 625cfm Barry Grant Demon carb.

I am having it repainted, installing all new interior (seating will be like the X-14), tower, Perfect Pass, and a audio system.

New carpet going down and new motor in...

Well I got it painted yesterday and ended up doing a different color then origanly planned but am very happy. Camera phone picture doesn't show the color too well. I'll have some new pics tonight after I throw the tower on, new pop up cleats and windshield.

Good thing it was 1,800 - looks like you're spending a few pennies outfitting it!

Looks really nice. And quite the project! Props for taking that on!

Should be in it for ~$8K. Even bought a shower and heater. (not a DIY set up)

Very cool. $8,000 for what basically amounts to a brand new wakeboat is hard to beat. Cool Cool Cool

The paint looks great but some sort of graphics on the side would give it a little more flair. Just my .02 worth.

I'm interested in the paint process. Do you know what brand of paint was used and the prep process? Sanding, primer, etc.? Thanks

Well the paint was done at a local cadillac dealership on the weekend. Nothing special about the paint, just prepped a little and painted over the gel coat. I know this isn't the best way but for $350 I couldn't go wrong.

Also bought a dash for a '05 Seaswirl runabout for $250 w/ all guages and wiring and painted it. Also got the matching glove box side for $70. Had to cut out the old dash to mold it in but am getting close. All the wiring is working and all guages function properly.

New motor that I built fired right up and is now broken in and will be doing a water test on thursday!! Then friday its off to party on the Columbia River!!!

Well I started tear down in Jan and had the motor built by early March but finally started it over the weekend. For now I will use the old seats as they are. I will get some good pics over the weekend....

Tear it down to nothing and say to yourself, "what in the hell did I get into?!" haha

Truth is a motor is a motor, carpet just glues down, and hardeware just unscrews... The hardest part was cutting out the old dash, molding in the new one, and fabricating brackets for it. Right side dash is all fabbed up securely mounted.

No I am not, I am hoping to sell next spring to get a '03-'05 22'-24' boat.

I will have pics of it in the water tonight!
