Alright....so I know people here have installed aftermarket systems in there boats. Normally I probably wouldn't be to concerned abou this except my boat is stored at my mom's place and I just don't trust the neighbors.
I have some semi-expensive stereo equipment for my boat that I would prefer not get stolen, so I'm hoping to get some good input from you guys on install points and info about easy-disconnect wires for easy/quick removal.
Basically my system consists of: deck+seperates(haven't purchased this yet still deciding), a 2000x1 mono fusion amp (to drive 3 viper 10" subs), an avionixx 600x4 for some seperates.
Now unfortunently there are no "lockable" areas on the boat, no real place to hide something out of sight without building something to hide it in. So Im lookin for suggestions on where to put this equipment how to hide it, how to secure it, stuff like that. Boat is a 89 bayliner capri 1950 some pics at the bottom.
What have you guys done?
edit: Im also looking for quick-disconnect stuff...so if I have to leave the boat alone, or if im parking it at moms i can very quickly remove my equipment and put it in my nice safe car or something...likewise putting it back in would have to be easy to, I dont want to have to fiddle with screwdrivers just some type of quick disconnect cables.
