From those with experience using difference size boards. How did you know your board was too big or too small? What did the wrong-size board feel like?

Thanks!

Every board can handle a specific weight range. If you are too heavy for a board it's going to be harder for it to plane, and if you are too small for a board it is going to be hard to carve around on it. I have weighed between 180 and 230 the last 4 seasons or so and I've always stayed on a board between 141cm and 143cm. Hope that helps a bit.

cant really tell if a board is to big or to small because it is all prersonal preference. if you want to be at the higher weight range of the board size then go with the smaller, if you want to be at the lower go with the bigger board. from my experience a bigger board is slower and lands a little softer. smaller board is faster and the are harder. you also will float higher on the water with a bigger board because of your weight.
