Not sure if everybody's aware of this, but Ali Boulala and Shane Cross were in a bad motorcycle accident this week. Shane was killed and Ali was put into a medically induced coma. Shane was just 20.

Damn. That's tragic.

I think I saw him at the CA state fair last year at the demo/contest. Not sure though.

Really? Is he braindamaged? Last I read they were pulling him slowly out of the coma.

i got this from transworld...

"We just got some optimistic news from the Flip camp: It sounds like Ali has regained some motor skills and he does NOT have a broken neck. The hospital staff is still bringing him out of the medically induced coma and "things are looking positive at this point."

Looks like your good vibes are working... so keep praying for Ali!!!"

Sounds reasonable. From the police report I read, it sounds like they were getting rowdy (knowing the Flip crew, probably drunk) and then Ali and Shane jumped on the motorcycle without helmets and Ali ran it into the side of a building.

On the other hand, I don't know if anyone would feel vindicated that Ali was being prosecuted for screwing around with one of his buddies and accidentally killing him. I suppose it's up to Shane's family and friends.
