Last summer i rode my dad's premier 140 finless. I'm looking to get either a premier 135 or a byerly 137. Has anyone riden both of these boards finless? How does the byerly ride finless? _________________ UCSB Waterski Team |

I have both boards (2001 Premier 135 and a 2002
Byerly 137).
Both are good boards and similar in a lot of ways (accelleration and pop especially). The Byerly is a lot of fun finless and is my favorite way to ride it but it's not a great rough water board.
My Byerly is for sale if interested.

I found that with the center fin in the Byerly it handled the chop better than any other board I've ridden. As compared to the Premier while both are finless, the Byerly a lot has more edge-hold, more pop, and is slightly slower.

both boards ride great finless but are definitly different overll rides as far as pop goes..The premier is more rider friendly because its more consistent and predictable but the byerly will buck you up a bit more but you never know when its comeing ... _________________ "Thanks for Play'n"
