|
|
Just wondering what other people are using in their side compartments of their V-drive boats. I think mine is about 46" long by 35" by 19" deep.
I was thinking about putting the Fly High Big Bumps in those storage areas. Those bags are about 50" long but I figure it'll compress the bag a bit.
Has anyone done this? What are you using.
I then plan to put Fly High Side sacks up front under the seats.
How have you set up your V-drive ballast systems |

That sounds like a decent plan. Rather have a large bag being compressed than a smaller bag that you fill to the point of bursting.
By the way, where's the lake? |

Straighline makes V-drive sacks specially sized for the v-drive compartments.
I think they're under the brandname "LaunchPad" just look for the V-drive models.
they say 350# each, but we've found that you can fill them up to about 500-550 no problem.

Ya, I'll probably just go with what I was thinking in the first place.
I like the Big Bumps cause they're fillable to over 700lbs each. That's about 1400 lbs in the rear of the boat, and if I find they are a bit too big to fill all the way then I'll just shut the pumps off early. Those added to the stock center bag and the two up front should add a bit O wake to my ride
I ride in NW Indiana usually. Cedar lake, Koontz lake and then one of my friends lives on a private lake in Crown Point, but I can't put my boat on that lake (rules).
Never been up to the Fox, but I have a few friends that ride and live there. Brian, Brandon and Derrin all ride up there. Brian has a '00 X-star, and Darren has a V205. Maybe you know these guys. We all met at Midwest wake fest last year. They let us mooch off them for the weekend. Sup'a cool guys. |
