Hi...
I'm looking for a wakeboard. I'm 5' 7, and about 130. I'm wondering if I can get a good beginner/intermediate board (hopefully last me for two seasons) for $300 or less (with boots). I was looking at some Hyperlites, and Belmonts, what would you suggest (what length?) ... and would a 2002 model perform essentially just as well for a newbie like me?
As far as boots, I was looking at the Hyperlite Splits or something like that (not sandal bindings or anything). My shoe size is about 9 1/2.
THANKS!

| I picked up a 2000 Belmont 134 on EBAY for $100.00 I also bought a pair of Hyperlite Highbacks for $55.00. Talk about a great set up for $155.00. Unbelievable. I prefer the Highbacks over the splits. Get a size large. |

Board: CWB Sol... awesome board for beginner-intermediate and great for learning tricks.
Bindings: CWB Apex... they stopped making them in 2002, so if you can find a left over pair, I'm sure they'll be cheap. DO NOT skimp on bindings, be sure and get a high-end pair. _________________ If my above post offends you in any way, simply ignore it. I am 5' 7" 130 with a shoe size 9 1/2.... Just about three weeks ago i got a 2003 O'Brien Custom 135 in a package with the O'Brien Link Bindings size medium/large for $299.99. I think this board is great and the bindings are comfortable and provide good support. They might feel a little tight at first but use the old bathtub trick and use them a lot and like any bindings they will get very comfortable. They have an easy lace up front for easy entry. The board also looks cool and has a much newer design than the LF Rythm or the CWB Sol. It has two 1.75 in fins that give good tracking but still leaves it with a looser feel. It has good pop off the wake and is easy to control for beginners. This board is meant for beginner/intermediate. Because of its newer design it will last you a couple of years before you need a new one. It will be plenty sufficient for you to do all the tricks you'll learn in the next two years. A great board just check it and the bindings out on www.obrien.com . Also most all board shops and internet sites sell this board in the package so dont worry about finding it. Good luck with your choice. _________________ www.krookedminds.com
