Just to be clear - Peyton isn't taking any less money.

Oh, and Pats WR Chad Jackson just tore his ACL. Not sure how, just saw it on the ESPN ticker.

Yep...I was on it Jt.... Looks like he converted his roster bonus to a signing bonus, thus it could be prorated..... So he still gets 10M now, but the team can spread the hit over 4 years.... 2 million hit this year, not the 10.....bla..bla..bla.....that is the 8M figure they give.

that is all it really is whenever anybody restructures. It is very rare somebody will take an actual cut.

They wouldn't have have to because their contracts aren't the biggest in the NFL.

Alrighty fools, let's catch up!

Thomas Jones is now a Jet.

Wes Welker is a Patriot.

Garcia is a Buc.

Plummer may or may not quit football because he is like Pat Tillman. Question

Big Leonard is a Cowboy.

Moss may head to the Pats.

The Titans haven't brought in a single FA.

Drew Bennett is a Ram.

I missed plenty - chime in!

Donkeys???? Watch your mouth! Twisted Evil

Plummer submitted his retirement papers on Friday, but the BRONCOS traded him anyway. Laughing The Player's Association filed a grievance on Plummer's behalf today.

Bell's gone from Denver right Swass? Where'd he go?

Nate Clements is a 49er.

Good call on both ChrisG - Henry is the Titan I couldn't remember and Thomas is a HUGE get for the Pats. they are doing awesome right now - Welker is the kind of guy who will shine for the Pats and I think Moss would go there and be cool.

We traded Tatum Bell (RB) and George Foster (OT) and a draft pick to the Lions for Dre' Bly (CB) and a draft pick. I don't know the rounds on the draft picks.

We also traded a 6th round draft pick to Miami for Dan "Big Daddy" Wilkinson (DT). Worst $#*#) deal ever.

Ashlie Lelie (WR) signed a two year deal w/ the 49ers. HA! The 49ers knocked us out of the playoffs. I hope they choke on him!

I can't believe the Raiders would let Moss go, when they are about (to be able) to get JaMarcus Russell. If Moss actually still has any ability, he'll be loving that cannon of an arm. I wouldn't say that the Raiders will be great as a result, but wouldn't Moss be getting exactly what he wants? It would just seem really odd to me for him to jump to NE. (Which also just doesn't seem like a great fit for him - a "team-first, do whatever is asked of me" team?)

Kearney to the Seahawks. Damn most of the teams I hate are getting better this year. Pats, Broncos and Hawks.

gswake, how about letting Moss go and drafting Johnson 1st, a QB in the 2nd, then going OL heavy for the rest of the draft....hmmmm...

Kearney is a stud. Of course, I think that because he is a lacrosse guy. Had a lacrosse schollie to UVA, walked on to the football team, played both for 3 years and then quit lacrosse his senior year to focus on the NFL. Great guy - been building up lacrosse in GA his entire time w/ the Falcons.

Is the Chicago Rush considered PRO?

I think they are going for a title as well.

I like both of those if they pan out....

For the record....I take T. Bell over T. Henry......and he was cheaper.

ADD....PLEASE READ CAREFULLY To all those that bit@h about players holding out for a new deal, guaranteed money.... Take note of all the players getting dumped by teams right now that don't want to pay them under the current deal the "team" agreed to. This stuff works both ways, but I would venture to guess that players get dumped 10-1 over players that sign new deals for more guaranteed money.

Who needs to read carefully? Laughing Laughing

Henry >>>> Bell

You'll LOVE Henry, EJ - I was pretty bent to see him leave Tenn, but that $8.3M roster bonus was tough to swallow. Besides, we all know your talent evaluation skills are suspect...have you taken your Plummer shrine down yet? Wink Laughing

Laughing Laughing Laughing ....The read carefully was 100%, contract loyalty....not the players being signed. Seems like there is a CHUNK of people who don't understand the concept of the NFL contract.

I don't think Henry gives the Broncos anything that more thanT. Bell gave them....

Remember, I was the only one saying that T.B. would be rushing for a K and staying "near" 5 YAC.

PLUMMER is the man.... LOVE what he is doing to the Broncos after they shafted him like they did. He finished the season, was a good teammate to Jay.....but says go to Hell to the organization. I love every bit of it.

IT NEVER COMES DOWN! Laughing Laughing Laughing

No, I liked the entire post......

I will miss Jake, but that is the NFL..... In the end, I will always be a Broncos fan, players come and go. Jake was one of my favorites..... Oh...you wait and see my rants if they pull anything in the vicinity of this with Champ(currently my favorite Bronco…and with a few more years, maybe my all time favorite, DB's being the best athletes in football...and probably the smartest guys on the field)............. Laughing

I hope Jay ends up having at least the career that Jake had in Denver.... Truth be told, that winning percentage will not be easy to live up to....then he will have to take the heat....along with Shanahan by then.

After just finding out yesterday(maybe it isn't even true) that Jake found out he was benched with a phone call from an assistant.....I am even more on board with him phucking the organization. I assume Shanahan was so busy; he couldn't take 5 minutes out of his day to bring Jake into the office and tell him face to face.....man to man.....
