Anyone use these or something similar (I know a few other companies make them)? Just wondering if you can notice a difference and if they are worth the $40? I was thinking about picking some up, but I don't want to waste my money if I'm not going to notice a difference.

Ya, I have them on my Burton Cartels. They are nice. I don't think they make an outstanding difference but they help to keep your foot in a better position for support when edging heelside. They are basically like going from open toe wakeboard bindings to the new closed toe. More support. For 40 bucks I would buy them.

Their only downfall is if you are doing some really sharp toeside turn where you are REALLLLLY leaning into the turn, they will hit the snow and cause you to slip out. But thats only if you are carving up huge turns down the mountain.

What bindings do you have? There are quite a few companies that make a convertible toe strap now, yours might be able to be ridden that way. Basically is pulls your foot down, and back into the binding. Helps your foot hold its position a little better.

I have an older pair of Burton Customs. I actually bought a pair of Cap Straps, but my bottom straps screw on rather than go into a slot like the newer bindings (if this makes any sense)? So unless I can get creative I have no idea how to make them fit my bindings. Any ideas?

Well Ive ridden them at a resort twice now so Ive gotten a better feel for them. The difference isnt huge but it is noticable and I like the improvement. Holds your toes down. Kinda like closed toe wake bindings. Only complaint is that if I hop up the mtn or do tail presses too much the straps ride up to the position of a normal strap. (Yes I have adjusted them so they fit right)

LFADAM, i have that same problem with them riding up actually, but mine tend to do it with just normal riding. i'm sure they can be adjusted somehow so they don't do that (i've seen people who's caps fit perfectly), but i haven't been able to get it right yet...

if you adjust the binding a little further back. Thats how i prevented toe drag which was causing my toe straps to flip up and ride like normal bindings. Also it helped me to ride better by having my heels a little further back

i finally managed to fix mine a couple weeks ago - toe caps fit perfectly now, didn't move the bindings any further back though, just brought the strap for the toe out a little more.

I ended up just buying totally new bindings, haha, got a really good deal on new Burton Customs with cap straps. I've used them twice and I really like them, they don't make a huge difference, but its definitely noticable. I didn't have a problem with the toe drag thing, I just adjusted them a little and they worked out fine.

I like them. I don't feel like they give me better support or hold my toes down more than my old bindings, but they do it without squashing my toes. They are more comfortable for sure.
