If your new to wakeboarding your short pole should be good enough to learn your basice, but a tower or an extended pylon will help you catch a lot more air as you progress. It makes getting up easier for beginners too. I would suggest getting an extended pylon, its a lot cheaper than a tower and will still help you get a lot of air. _________________ www.steelmx.com

That is very much false.
cwbxwakex939, dont listen to that garbage. Towers help with hang time, and it isnt that much difference. The only time a tower comes in handy is when you hit a double up with a some ballast in the boat. Too many people are under the notion that a tower makes you go "higher", which is not the case at all. Technique is the utmost important; then adding ballast via fat sacs. Think about it. What is more important, having a high tow point, or a bigger wake? And I can honestly tell you, that I can throw any trick behind an unweighted towerless I/O, that I can behind my loaded SANTE. I just dont make it look as stylish. Going without a tower for a while, then add one later. The reason I say add a tower is the simple fact that they are stylish, and help get boards off the floor of the boat. A pylon, in my opinion, just gets in the way, or looks retarded. Save for a tower, get the one you like if you plan on adding something in the future. It doesnt have to be today or tomorrow, but NEVER settle. Welcome to the site. _________________

Blake is right on this one: "Technique is the utmost important" _________________ * riding finless teaches you to get your edge down properly, when you do it with fins, you'll be able to cut like OJ Simpson

no, a tower will just help u get higher than without one.u definetely dont need to start jumping but it helps u.the thing that would really help is a bellast system cuz it makes the wake bigger and steeper. _________________ GO BIG OR GO HOME!!!!!!!!!! |

I never have had a ballast system, pylon, or tower. They are NOT a neccesity. All I've ever had is a decent I/O, my parents and a couple of friends. There, thats my ballast system for ya. _________________ 04 LF Trip 133
