Anyone been to Steamboat? What are your thoughts? Headed out for 4 days at the end of February.

Pretty chill terrain, there are some steeps but not like typical CO. They do have great snow though when it's on.

I was out there a few years ago, and jryoung is spot on. It's one of my favorite resorts. I love the town and the atsmophere ... to me it's a bit more laid back and less commercial than some of the others.

Cool place, good terrain park but I think most of the jumps and the main pipe is at Mavericks not Steamboat. and awesome powder when they get it. One of my favorite places because I've never been there and not gotten at least 10" of fresh.

Try to avoid getting stuck on one of the many runs with tons of moguls.

Good place to ride fast and have tons of small hits is sunshine lift line then over to rolex (?)

If it dumps snow or not find the"land of little people" it is a rad place for deep snow runs through the trees.

After riding make sure to head out to Strawberry Springs (coolest hot springs ever, makes the springs in town look pathetic), its a haul but it is worth it!!!

The only time I've heard of the place was this year's Warren Miller film, Off the Grid. I guess it gets a lot of powder, is what I got from the movie. Have fun!

Yeah i've been there. I went there last christmas. And for me it was aight. we had no snow so it was nothing special but man when that place gets snow it is crazy. The Trails are nothing special but it has decent tree riding. and the Terrain park is stupid small compared to whistler or any other major resort out west.
