You can get away with using a ski rope, however, You wil notice a huge change in the amount of pop, and control in the air If you get a no-stretch wake rope. I don't know how it works, but someone I'm sure will post and let you know the physics of it. But no-stretch is the way to go for sure

And another reason wakeboarding is better than surfing, you die less, that means you have another day to wakeboard, which is more fun than surfing anyway.

what state are you from? when it stretches then it stretches.

no stretch is what you want but also very low stretch is good or even sometimes better because no stretch can cause bad tendonitis in your wrists if you ride a lot..
not something that will affect everyone but depending on how much you ride/how old you are it could make a difference..

but dont use a ski rope Very Happy

Going from a cheap nylon Boaters World so-called wakeboarding rope to a spectra line and handle was one of the most noticeable changes I've experienced thus far in my short wakeboarding "career". Shocked Cool

I'll second that. Going from a waterski rope to a spectra line was the best and most noticable upgrade that I have done. Highly recommend it before a pylon, fat sacs and anything else. Get yourself a good rope and handle.
