I haven't been behind a Tower yet, but my boat is take the first trip out Friday.

Towers are not nearly as expensive and "elite" as they used to be, you can get a tower from 600$, nearly the same price as a extended pylon.

And ya, soon, you will be the only one without a tower lol, but by then im sure they'll have some new invention, and you'll be the only one without one of those too! Mr. Green

I just started riding with a tower this year. It does make a difference, but not as much as you'd think. It just seems to help with hangtime a little, but doesn't really get you much higher.

i dont have a tower either. even if i could find one that i could afford, it probably wouldent work with our tiny 50lb aluminum almost antique boat

went from a 88 bomber bass boat outboard w/ no pylon...to a 97 sea ray also w/ no pylon or tower so i did rite much boarding w/o one...we just got our supra last summer so i havent even been riding behind one for a year but its made rite much difference for me n e way

Don't you guys have low bridges in the USA? On my lake, we have a lot of low bridges to pass through, so a tower is not an option. With a tower you can only get to one of the 4 lakes here.

LOL...funny you mentioned that. My girlfriend bought me and extended pylon for Xmas and the time we went out we almost ruptured a 10" sewage force main that was running under a bridge. Imagine a fire hose, but instead of nice clean water it would have been sewage. Just clipped it however, and my boat just sunk down an inch or two and we got by just fine (we were idling, trying to ge to the other lake).

What I like about the extended pylon is I can quickly remove it if I have to pass through a low bridge to get to another lake. That is, when I'm not being a complete dumby wumby and forget about it.

I had to get a custom tower put on our boat. It took them a MONTH to do it. I just think they were lazy. And yes tdes i live on the Alligator Chain of lakes and we can only go in the lake we live on which is lake lizzie until the water goes down some.

yea thats my dad see the weedline though in the pic? Thats where we ride at its about 8 ft deep there but i have crashed before and hit my head into the ground. Laughing

I have a homebuilt one also from electrical conduit. Works great but have to paint every year as the paint scratches.

Vance it does look a lot like yours. It can also be used as a rollbar. Very Happy

This thing is built like a Mac truck. I also added a hot water shower on the transom. I bought a pump and plumbed in hot and cold water. It works great!

wow sanderB, that is a low bridge man. i have never seen one even close to being that low in the US. all the ones were i live, you could stand on top of the tower and still not touch the bottom of the bridge

We have many low bridges in S. FL. Most you can go under if you fold the tower donw. This will be third season behind tower.

My dad wants to get a tower for our boat, but since its not a wakeboard boat he is worries that it won't fit it properly...
