the treathy of versalies ended WWI, it was harsh on germany and made them pay alot of war retuributions for what they had done. It also said they werent aloud to build up an arsenal and stuff. It helped to lead to WWII, because germans disliked it due to the fact it was so harsh on them, and when they found a leader, hitler, who was very against it, they followed started to follow him.
Womens lifes changed because they went to work in factorys well the men were over seas fighting. |

1.) to join the Royal Canadian Air Force and be pilots
2.) Somaliland (Somalia) by way of Abyssinia (Ethiopia) already an Italian colony
3.) The Munich Pact was formed over the German claims or demands for the Sudetenland, a region in Czechoslovakia that was populated with Germans. The Pact ceded that land to Germany and began the policy of appeasement. The Munich Pact was signed by Germany, Italy, France, and Britain at Munich, Germany, on September 29, 1938.

4.) That's how what we call Communism in the Soviet Union began. It's more of an example of Socialism if you ask me.
5.) sort of what Ryan M. said... except the Hitler part. He came to power through a political back channels and trickery. Basically the whole world was in a depression and Germany got the worst end of the stick because they were also paying war cost from WW1.
6.) Manchuria is an Asian country located between China and Russia. It is considered the Key to China. The Japanese saw Manchuria as rich in minerals, forestry and rich agricultural land as well as a starting point for advances into Asia. The invasion of Manchuria occured in 1931.
7.) Women were part of the working population. _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |

Whats the difference? Going to one website or another is still getting the answers. Its not about knowing the info, its about knowing how to get it.
Kids, you wont believe this, but when I was your age we had these big buildings full of books (square paper things your parents own. Ya know, on the wall in the study...)and you had to manually pull books off the shelf and look up the answers which werent always spelled out. Much harder and much more time consuming. You guys have it made.... |

1. To work in the large number of defense industry jobs created.
2.On October 3, 1935, Italy attacked Ethiopia without a declaration of war. Four days later, the League of Nations declared Italy an aggressor, but as usual, took no action against the country.
3. Agreement concluded at Munich, September 29, 1938, between Germany, Great Britain, France and Italy
GERMANY, the United Kingdom, France and Italy, taking into consideration the agreement, which has been already reached in principle for the cession to Germany of the Sudeten German territory.
4. Collectivised agriculture takes place when a government takes farmland from indivudual owners and gives it to collective groups to work. This was done in the Soviet Union under one of Lenin ideas.
http://home.ca.inter.net/~grantsky/collectivism.html
5. The Treaty of Versailles ended World War I and placed such harsh conditions on Germany that it created a breeding ground for Hitler. Germany had to pay huge amounts to the victors in reperations which made its currency worthless. Germany also lost territory to the victors.
6. Manchuria is a Asian country north of China and South of Russia, (then the Soviet Union). Manchuria and China were invaded by the Imperial Army of Japan. Search for "Rape of Nanking"
7. They entered the job market in large numbers and worked in manufacturing jobs replacing men sent overseas. Search for "Rosie the Riveter." _________________ It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.
