Hey Guys,

I was thinking of going up to the Ski Rixen and I was wondering if the water is going to be cold enough to wear a wetsuit. I have a full body wetsuit. Is that an over kill?

Thank you in advanced.

Overkill...you'll likely me severly mocked with a full wetsuit...actually anytime of the year down here. Maybe a topper is all.

Looks like you live in Miami, so there's not too much difference between water temps in Deerfield and Miami. The water is still pretty warm.

I've ridden at OWC the last two wednesday night at dark with an air temp of 63. I have just worn a heater shirt and regular board shorts and it's not bad. I will be riding at 8 in the morning saturday in west palm and won't be wearing a wetsuit. Just make sure you bring dry clothes and a sweatshirt to change into when you're done.

heck up in atlanta where the air is like in the lower 60ies you don't need a wetsuit and screw the dry clothes when up of the water... just put a t-shirt on and u'll be fine donw in florida... Thats what we do in atlanta anyways...

According to weather.com, Deerfield Beach has air temps in the mid-70's and the water surface temp is still 78 degrees. You do NOT need a full wetsuit.

Ok, just because I live in canada, I feel the need to make this fact known:

75 degrees is NOT cold. 55 degrees is cold. 60 is when you take off the full suit.

I'm agreeing wit C-tips. .. 75 degrees would be perfect! I don't think I've ever wakeboarded in water warmer then that, and I've never worn a full wetsuit.

I would rather be hot than cold, so I wore a full suit this weekend, and I was nice and toasty. The water was nice, it was the wind that was chilly.
I also love South Florida. Smile

If the air and water don't add up to 150 F, I wear a wetsuit. If it doesn't add up to 100 F, I don't go in the water

LakeIolaLuke, up here it's around a 120-125 that you don't pull out the wetsuit. This is when my season ends, but my friends will put on their wetsuits to about 110.
