Are covered fat sacs really worth the 30-40 bucks?? I am planning on having a sac on the floor in the back and in the storage area under the bow (closed bow). Which ones really need a cover and why? I need some more guidance, as usual. _________________ Ride harder...

We got ours with the covers just to have a little more protection. I would recommend getting them with a cover. _________________ If my above post offends you in any way, simply ignore it. If you do not know how to ignore it, complain to me in a PM and I will show you how. |

Mine have covers and I still think one is leaking. I wouldn't want to run without them or I would be worried all the time. I'm anal enough without having to worry about a waterbed leak in my boat. _________________ Hot Women, Phat Boats, and Sweet Rides make the world go round! |

| If the sack is going to be out in the open, I would get a cover. If its going to be hidden the whole time, I wouldn't worry about it. Thats just from my experiences. |

I've got 3 sacks in my boat a 600 lbs (BG Brand? It's got a buddah guy on it) and two covered launch pads. I've patched my coverless one twice and it really doesn't get stepped on at all. My two covered ones get stepped and sat on all the time and I've had no problems w/them at all. Also the covered ones are much firmer filled, don't slosh around and hold their shape better.
I agree w/Jon, if it's going to be concealed in a locker a coverless one will be fine. |

I agree with jon. I have one uncovered, and two covered. I have not yet had a problem with the uncovered (in front for about 5 months, no real walking on it) But have had on of the rear ones (covered) for about 5 years and still no problem. I would get the cover, better safe then sorry and then do not have to worry about people walking on it, and especially fins. _________________ Check out https://www.facebook.com/darcizzleoffshore |
